1st single - Wasted all my time
The band
SuperMoon was formed at the Amadeus Music Bar in Tampere, Finland in April 2023. Henri and Jay have worked together in several bands during the years and they always had talked about putting a band together. One night their future drummer Riku walked into the bar and the band was naturally formed after a few beers and some encouraging talk about the future. Next week they were already in the studio recording their first tunes. The first video ”Wasted All My Time” was filmed during the fall of 2023 inn Tampere, Finland. They are currently in the process of writing and recording new songs for their upcoming album. Stay tuned for their brand of original Finnish modern rock metal.

Jay Lewis plays bass and sings in SuperMoon. He was the songwriter of the legendary Finnish metal band OZ that immigrated to Sweden in 1984. They made three albums after which Jay moved to the US in 1987, joining Princess Pang, who recorded one album on Capitol, made two videos for American MTV and toured the US with Mr.Big. He joined Skin+Bones after PP and played around the East Coast for some years. Jay moved back to his birthplace Finland in 1998, joined Finnish group YÖ and sold one million records during the next 15 years. He quit YÖ in 2016, formed Jay Lewis Gang, recorded their debut album, toured for one year after which he disbanded the group. SuperMoon was formed in 2023.

Henri Virsell is a guitarist and music producer from Tampere, Finland. Since the early eighties Henri started composing and recording his own music. As a studio engineer Henri has worked with over 1000 different artists and received gold and platinum records. Henri has toured in more than 20 different countries and over 100 different cities.

Farmakon in year 2001. Record deal with Elitist Records under Earache records. Relesed debut album ´A Warm Glimpse´ in 2003. Peekaboo Primate(ex Airhead) released debut album `Peek-a-boo primates´ in 2011. Second album ´Misanthropical´ was released in 2016. Tour in Europe 2014.Including different cover/bands; example Töyssy & Takalaittomat singer is one of the famous actors in finland these days, studio work, house bands, countless live shows.. Since 2023 rocking with SuperMoon.
